Dr. Rohan Benjankar is currently an assistant Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). His responsibilities are teaching and research focusing on water resources engineering, with emphasis on analysis of human impacts (e.g., dam operation and water diversion) on floodplain physical habitat, aquatic and riparian ecosystems, and river restoration. Professional experiences include integrated river hydraulics and modeling, aquatic and vegetation dynamic modeling, fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, watershed hydrological and water quality (temperature and nutrients) modeling, surface water hydrology and habitat restoration (aquatic and riparian vegetation).
