Diego Garcia de Jalon currently works at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Diego García de Jalón is Professor in the Natural Systems and Resources Department and gives courses on Limnology, Zoology and Entomology and post-graduate courses on Fluvial Ecology and River Restoration. His main research is in the areas of running waters ecology, effects of dams, flow regulation, channelization, biological indicators of water integrity, fisheries management and river restoration techniques.
